Haiku's For Nature Lovers

This series was painted from February 1st 2025 to March 23rd 2025 during a tumultuous period of change in the world. Mark believes that it is important to continue to bring joy to others through action and thought during difficult periods. These 51 paintings are positive, intimate expressions and reminders that we are always free to choose our reactions while still continuing to embrace challenges.

“Nature has always been a place where I have been able to seek a sense of normalcy, I found this essential during the Covid pandemic when I retreated into the landscape to photograph during lockdowns while working in a regional hospital. In these little paintings I have tried to bring my experiences in nature together to form a work that evokes both depth of experience and connection to wild nature to give the viewer a sense of something good beyond our current circumstances.”
